After 32 years as a high school teacher, I found a natural extension of what I loved most about education: helping people learn about themselves, discover what they are capable of, and feel confident and connected. This philosophy has followed me from the classroom to the yoga mat.

I have been teaching yoga for the past five years, bringing together my background in physical education, fitness, and education to create classes that are supportive, purposeful, and approachable.

I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education with an Adapted Minor and a Master of Arts in Teaching. I am a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) through Yoga Alliance, and I also hold a Children’s Yoga certification.

My approach to yoga is rooted in the connection among mind, body, and breath. I believe mobility, balance, and strength are important at every stage of life and that yoga can help us move through life with greater awareness and confidence. I bring a unique blend of teaching experience, fitness knowledge, and mindful movement to every class. I strive to create an environment where everyone feels welcome, supported, and encouraged to move in a way that feels right for their body.

I teach Fit for You, a yoga-based fitness class designed to meet each person exactly where they are. I believe movement looks different for everyone, so I offer modifications and options throughout each class, allowing you to choose what feels best for your body. My goal is for every student to feel successful—not in comparison with anyone else, but through a deeper connection to their own body and its abilities.

I also have a special passion for children’s yoga, where movement, mindfulness, curiosity, and play come together in a fun and supportive environment.

Whether you are new to yoga, returning to your practice, or simply looking for a way to move, strengthen, and reconnect, my hope is that you leave class feeling a little stronger, a little more balanced, and a little more connected to yourself.

“Yoga is not about touching your toes; it’s about what you learn on the way down.”

—Jigar Gor
